  1. Cost to Borrow:
    This is a free service, but you do need to complete registration and become a member. Each person can only borrow one umbrella at a time. Each umbrella can only be borrowed for at most five days at a time. If five days have passed and the user has not returned the umbrella, then the Company has the right to cease providing this service to the user.
  2. Right to Modify:
    The Company reserves the right to modify costs. If costs are adjusted in the future, it will first be announced on the app and official website(www.baxontech.com) before being implemented.

The HoSua Umbrella Lending System is a public, automated umbrella lending service whereby umbrellas may be borrowed in one place and returned in another place (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") provided by Baxon Technologies Pte. LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").



1. Main Text

1. Member Definition and How to Register

  1. Members are those who complete registration through the HoSua official website (URL: www.baxontech .com), a service center, a kiosk (umbrella lending machine), the app, social media, etc. in order to use the Service.

2. Registration Obligations and Individual Specifications

  1. The personal information categories you provide to the Company for using the Service include: name, mobile phone number, and email address.
  2. If the personal information you provide such as your login information is false, incomplete, or wrong, the Company has the right to suspend or terminate your use of all or part of the Service.
  3. Privacy Policy:
    1. The Company takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously and for this reason has developed a relevant privacy policy that it will operate in accordance with. For the content protected by this policy, please see General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Privacy Policy, and as an integral part of this Terms of Service Agreement, please read it carefully and confirm its contents. You also agree and accept that the privacy policy for HoSua’s services may need to be updated in the future in accordance with changes in laws, regulations, and policies. If you are unable to accept the current or updated Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, please stop using the service.

3. Use of the Service and Important Notes

  1. You fully understand and agree that the act of registering is an application for the right to use the Service and not a guarantee of the right to use the Service. Since the Service is comprised of public umbrella usage facilities, the Company is not responsible to guarantee that users can borrow umbrellas or that there will be empty space to return umbrellas every time. Therefore, if this causes you to lose related rights, you agree voluntarily to absorb the liability yourself. However, the Company does promise that it will use a monitoring and management system, along with mathematical modeling and analysis, as well as dedicated dispatch vehicles and personnel for routine and adaptive dispatching of umbrellas, in order to, as much as possible, maximize the allocation of public umbrellas that can be borrowed.
  2. The effective use period of the member starts from the date when the application for registration is completed, and the date of termination of service shall be the date subject to the provisions of Article 6 of these Terms of Service or the date on which the managing entity decides to cease provision of the Service.
  3. The specifications of the umbrella provided by the service are suitable for people with a height of 140 cm and above or 190 cm and below. The Company will not be liable for any compensation related to accidents arising from people outside of this height range using the Service.
  4. Use Obligations and Commitments
  5. You undertake not to use the Service for any illegal purposes or for any illegal means. You agree and warrant that you may not use the Service to engage in any infringement of the rights or interests of others and, conforming to fair use lending principles, you will not use opportunistic methods for long-term umbrella use causing inconvenience to other users.
  6. When taking an umbrella using the Service, please follow the instructions or prompts provided by the HoSua official website, the kiosk (umbrella lending machine), and the app, and check for yourself to see if the umbrella can be used normally. If the borrowed umbrella begins to malfunction within five minutes of borrowing the umbrella, the user should immediately contact HoSua customer service staff for assistance.
  7. The procedure for a member to use the Service to borrow or return an umbrella is to first complete registration using the Company’s app, and then present the QR code on your phone for borrowing an umbrella to a QR code scanner on one of the Service’s umbrella lending facilities to take an umbrella. You may only take one umbrella at a time. You may not take another umbrella at the same time. In order to ensure that you have completed the procedure for borrowing and returning the umbrella correctly, when you are finished using the umbrella and go to return it, you should follow the instructions provided to scan the QR code and put the umbrella into the return slot of the kiosk. Wait until the message appears on the kiosk indicating that the umbrella has been successfully returned, and you may then leave the kiosk.
  8. The public umbrellas that the Service provides are only to be used for covering the user from rain and the sun, and may not be used for other unrelated purposes:
  9. When borrowing the umbrella, the user should do their best to be a good and honest steward of the umbrella, taking note of their duty to guard and protect the umbrella. It is strictly prohibited to offer the umbrella for sale, use the umbrella as a pledge, pawn the umbrella, or perform other similar actions. If loss of or damage to the umbrella can be attributable to the user, the Company has the right to request that the user pay compensation in accordance with the market value of the umbrella of 200 NTD. The umbrella only carries product liability insurance. If additional insurance is necessary, the user should take out insurance on their own.
  10. If the Service encounters forces majeures such as typhoons, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. and work is temporarily suspended through announcement by the government of the area in which the Service operates, the Service will also suspend operation.

4. Service Changes, Termination, Suspension, or Discontinuation

  1. The Company may change, terminate, suspend, or discontinue your use of the Service and service content if you violate Singapore law or these Terms of Service, if you voluntarily apply to suspend or terminate your use of the Service, or if an order issued by a court or government agency demands the suspension or termination of provision of the Service.
  2. The account that you registered with the Service as well as any rights you have on the Service are not transferable to any third party. If the Company receives a notice to discontinue use of the Service from yourself, an agent, or a trustee, or in order to comply with a request from a police investigation agency, or you have not used the Service for more than two consecutive years, or from the time of death as set out in your death certificate as received by the Company, your account will be deleted and the Company must also delete personal information and transaction history related to the account.

5. Advertising

  1. If you have been subject to harm because you trusted any of the advertising content, text and image descriptions, displayed samples, or other sales information that you have viewed in the Service, except in cases where the Company knew or could have known that the advertisement was false but still published it anyway, the Company does not assume any liability.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

  1. All hardware, software, or programs used by the Company and all content that appears on the website and kiosks (umbrella lending machines), including but not limited to writing, images, files, information, materials, website structure, website layout, and web design, are all legally owned by the Company or other rights holders, including but not limited to trademark rights, patent rights, copyrights, trade secrets, proprietary technology, etc. Without express written consent, you may not use, modify, duplicate, broadcast, adapt, disseminate, distribute, publish, restore, decode, or disassemble said content. If you wish to quote, cite, or reprint said content, you must first obtain the express written consent of the Company or other rights holders in accordance with the law. You are obligated to respect intellectual property rights. In cases of violation, you shall be held liable for damages caused to the Company. The Company and its affiliates, in order to market and promote the Service, employ the names, patterns, etc. of goods or services related to the Service (hereinafter referred to as the “HoSua Trademark”). Depending on the status of its registration or use, and protected by trademark law, fair trade law, etc., you agree not to use the “HoSua Trademark” in any way without prior written consent from the Company.

7. Disclaimer

  1. The Service provides an umbrella lending service. However, the Company does not guarantee that the number of umbrellas at lending sites under the jurisdiction of the Service will be sufficient to meet your borrowing needs at any time. The Company does not bear any liability for damage caused by using (or the inability to use) the Service in cases where temporary disruption of services is due to factors such as forces majeures (including nature disasters and factors related to the telecommunications industry) and necessary maintenance of the system.
  2. The Company may modify or suspend any service content that it provides, effective immediately after an announcement on its website (without individual notification required). You may not claim any compensation as a result.

8. Updates, Modification, and Termination of the Terms

  1. If the Terms of Service are updated, modified or terminated, resulting in your rights to use the Service being changed, the Company will make an announcement on the Service’s website and app as well as send a notification to your email address. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us. It is recommended that you provide a valid email address in your member information so that the Company can send you the Terms of Service and related instructions for use.

9. Applicable Laws and Governing Courts

  1. These Terms of Service constitute the complete agreement between you and the Company regarding your use of the Service, replacing any previous agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service. When you use the Service, affiliate services, third-party content, or software, additional terms or conditions may apply. Except as otherwise provided by law, the interpretation and application of these Terms of Service and disputes relating to these Terms of Service shall all be dealt with in accordance with the laws of Singapore and shall be governed by the courts of Singapore.
  2. The Company's failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service does not constitute a waiver of the aforementioned rights or provisions. In the event that a court of competent jurisdiction determines that any provision of these Terms of Service is invalid, the parties still agree that the court should endeavor to make the parties’ intentions expressed in the aforementioned regulations effective, and the other provisions of these Terms of Service shall remain in full force and effect.

    Q:How do I borrow and return umbrellas?
    (1)Borrowing Process:

    a. Open the “HoSua” app on your phone
    b. Generate the QR code to borrow an umbrella
    c. Place the phone in front of the kiosk to scan the QR code
    d. Wait a few seconds and the umbrella will drop down
    e. Open the delivery door and take the umbrella

    (2)Return Process:

    a. Open the “HoSua” app on your phone
    b. Generate the QR code to return an umbrella
    c. Place the phone in front of the kiosk to scan the QR code
    d. Open the delivery door and place the umbrella completely inside

    Q:What should I do if I scanned the QR code but did not take the umbrella in time?
    A: The kiosk will automatically retrieve the umbrella 60 seconds after scanning the QR code if it is not taken. In this case the transaction will be canceled. However, we would like to remind you that you should avoid a situation in which the next user takes the umbrella giving rise to later disputes about costs. In this case we recommend that you take the umbrella and follow the normal procedure to return the umbrella in order to ensure that the umbrella is actually retrieved by the machine to avoid causing later unnecessary trouble.

    Q:What should I do if the kiosk does not have any more umbrellas to borrow?
    A:You can go to another nearby kiosk or site to borrow one. You can use the official app to search for nearby sites.
    Q:What should I do if the umbrella I borrowed is damaged?
    A:Please take the umbrella to a nearby service site to return it and HoSua service staff will take it back and inspect it. Damage caused by normal use will be absorbed by HoSua. However, HoSua has the right to suspend the provision of service to those who are recorded as having damaged umbrellas with malicious intent multiple times.
    Q:What should I do if I cannot use the HoSua umbrella because it has a defect?
    A:If in the course of using the umbrella the umbrella malfunctions, please return it to a nearby service site, and HoSua service staff will inspect and repair the umbrella. We recommend that when you borrow the umbrella you first check to see if the umbrella is normal before using it.
    Q:Why is it so easy for the sensor to fail to scan the QR code on my phone?
    A:The scanning process may be affected because of ambient light source interference, the distance between the phone and the sensor, the size of the user’s screen, the brightness of the screen, etc. We recommend that you adjust the brightness of the screen on your phone to the highest setting and also adjust the distance and angle of the phone in relation to the sensor in order to smoothly complete the scanning process. For tablet users, we recommend that you reduce the screen display ratio, and then try scanning again.

    After you have read the entire contents of the Policy and click "I agree,” this indicates that you have fully read, understood, and accepted the entire contents of the revised Policy and that you will also comply with the contents when using the Policy.
